I) 19th Aug ? A mobile ENT unit, the first of its kind in India, was donated to Madras ENT Research Foundation by Indian Bank on the occasion of its centenary celebrations. The mobile ENT unit was handed over by the Hon. Finance Minister, Govt of India,
Thiru.P. Chidambaram in the presence of the Hon. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,
Thiru. M. Karunanidhi at a glitzy function. The unit is fitted with complete audiological facilities and diagnostic facilities, including operating microscope, endoscopes etc. This comes as a shot in the arm for the efforts of the Community Otolaryngology department of Madras ENT Research Foundation.

II) 2nd June ? MERF doctors participated in camp organized by Support group for mucopolysaccharidosis (a unit of Fetal Care Research Foundation) at Royapettah, Chennai.
III)3rd June - ENT and free hearing screening camp for civil supplies CID personnel was conducted at Madras ENT Research Foundation. Around 50 personnel were screened for various ENT disorders and hearing impairment.
